1, citric acid is the world's highest yield of organic acids, is an anhydrous material. The production process of citric acid mainly includes biological fermentation, fruit extraction and chemical synthesis. Using corn flour as raw material to produce citric acid is beneficial to achieve the goal of low energy consumption, low pollution and high benefit.

Corn residue after filtering and excess protein fermentation process, stress and sugar sterile air ventilation and submerged fermentation, fermentation tank to maintain the appropriate growth temperature 35 and 37 ℃ environment, compared with the traditional dried potato as raw material, using corn as emerging of citric acid production of raw materials and production acid fast, short fermentation cycle, low cost and strong in dissolved oxygen, etc. Overall, acid production can be increased by about 10%.

2, in order to improve the production process of traditional corn flour citric acid fermentation production of dried potato as raw material, through fermentation and calcium salt extraction technology, this method produces the product quality is poor, high cost, serious pollution of the environment, in order to further expand economic benefits, improve production efficiency, to achieve clean, pollution-free production, need to improve the extraction process of citric acid production.

3, in terms of raw materials, the research of corn flour, rice and rice straw, and so on, in view of the industrial process of ion chromatography, mother liquor purification treatment and recycling waste liquid sugar technology, not only effectively reduce the cost, but also for citric acid production of byproduct, rationally by optimizing technology, less waste discharge is beneficial to environmental protection.

When corn produces citric acid, only starches from corn are used. Other nutrients in corn can be recovered, purified and developed during the production process to produce byproducts such as corn gluten meal, fiber feed and high value-added corn oil. The production concept of "crowding after eating" has effectively improved economic benefits.

4. In order to improve the effect of dissolved oxygen in the medium, impurities (solids) and excessive nutrients in the medium should be removed in time during the production process to make the medium appear clear liquid, enhance the capacity of dissolved oxygen and shorten the fermentation cycle.

In addition, after reasonable adjustment, there is no need to add trace elements, auxin, nitrogen source, inorganic salts, etc., so that the appropriate proportion of various components can greatly improve the conversion and acid yield of the medium. Using low temperature liquefaction technology under atmospheric pressure can not only guarantee the quality of the medium, but also meet the requirements of complete liquefaction.

5. When planting corn, the method of mutagenesis breeding, selection of suitable maize varieties for the production of citric acid (such as mutant varieties with high starch content) and mass breeding, the use of high concentration of corn flour citric acid plate acclimation of high technology, cultivation and selection of high conversion rate, short fermentation cycle speed and high acid strain quality. The high and new technology was applied to the large-scale fermentation process, and both economic and environmental benefits were achieved.
