What is acid sodium pyrophosphate?

Phosphate additives, such as acid sodium pyrophosphate and phosphate compounds, may pose a safety hazard in certain concentrations. Properties of acid pyrophosphate

Acid sodium pyrophosphate or disodium pyrophosphate are edible phosphates that aid in baking fermentation, such as baking powder and prevent discoloration of foods, such as potatoes used after peeling. Health effects

For example, a fast food burger provides 353 mg of phosphorus, while a piece of cake made from a prefabricated white cake has a phosphorus content of 116 mg.
