Taurine is also known as bovine cholic acid, bovine choline. It is the metabolite of amino acids containing sulfur in the body, and has important physiological, pharmacological and nutritional functions for the animal body.Countries such as the European Union, the United States and Japan have already mandated that taurine be added to foods for infants and children.Taurine has also been widely valued in animal husbandry production.

Taurine can regulate fat metabolism of broilers

It was found that the feeding conversion rate of broilers increased by 2.73% and 5.39% after 42 days when the broiler diet was supplemented with 0.1% taurine.Lipase activity was increased by 7.62% in small intestine and 6.93% in pancreas. The pH and crude protein content of breast muscle were significantly increased, while the crude fat content of breast muscle was significantly decreased. These results indicate that taurine can improve the lipase activity of the body, promote the absorption and utilization of dietary thickness HI square, and then promote the improvement of performance of broilers.

Taurine can improve the insufficiency of blood supply to tissues such as impatient broilers

Taurine is the most abundant free amino acid in heart tissue, and its content is much higher than that in other tissues and organs. At the same time, it has been found that taurine can maintain the balance of myocardial sodium and calcium ions, regulate the structure and function of myocardial cell membrane and the osmotic pressure in myocardial cells. The serum taurine level was increased by adding a certain concentration of taurine to broilers' diet, which could reduce the hypertension in the lungs, reduce hypoxia and protect the myocardial tissue.

Taurine can improve the performance of meat ducks

The addition of 0.1% taurine significantly increased the live weight and average daily gain of Cherry Valley ducks aged 35 days, significantly increased feed return, decreased abdominal fat percentage, increased eviscerated percentage and lean meat percentage of meat ducks. It can decrease the diameter of muscle fiber, increase the water power of the system and the content of intermuscular fat, and increase the tenderness of muscle. These results indicate that adding taurine into meat duck feed can not only improve the performance of meat duck, but also improve the quality of duck meat.
