WHAT IS CARBOMER?

 

This product is a high molecular polymer of acrylic acid bonded allyl sucrose or pentaerythritol allyl ether. The content of carboxylic acid group (- COOH) should be 56.0% 68.0%.

 

Kapo, also known as carbomer (carbomer), is an acrylic crosslinking resin crosslinked with acrylic acid by pentaerythritol and so on. It is a very important rheology regulator. After neutralization, Carbomer is an excellent gel matrix with thickening, suspension and other important uses. It has simple process and good stability. It is widely used in emulsion, cream and gel. Carbopol is the signature dish of Novartis (formerly known as gulide company, one of the oldest companies in the United States). Its products include Carbopol series rheology regulators and pemulen series polymer emulsifiers.

 

Carbomer (carbomer) is a kind of acrylic crosslinking resin which is crosslinked with acrylic acid by pentaerythritol and so on. It is a very important rheological regulator. After neutralization, Carbomer is an excellent gel matrix with thickening, suspension and other important uses. Its technology is simple and its stability is good. It is widely used in emulsion, cream and gel.


 

SERIES:

 

Carbopol 940: short flow denaturation, high viscosity, high clarity, low ion resistance and shear resistance. It is suitable for gel and cream.

 

Carbopol 941: long flow, low viscosity, high clarity, moderate resistance to ion and shear resistance, suitable for gel and emulsion.

 

Carbopol 934: crosslinked polyacrylic acid resin, local drug delivery system, stable at high viscosity, used for gel, emulsion and suspension.

 

Carbopol 1342: crosslinked polyacrylic acid resin, local drug delivery system, excellent rheological modifier in the presence of electrolyte, polymerization emulsification.

 

Carbopol 980: crosslinked polyacrylic acid resin, local drug delivery system, crystal clear gel, water or alcohol solvent.

 

Carbopol ETD 2020: acrylate /C10-30 alkyl acrylate copolymer, long rheological, low viscosity, high clarity, high ion resistance and shear resistance, suitable for clear gel.

 

Carbopol Aqua SF-1: liquid, long fluidity, clear formulation, excellent compatibility with various components, acid thickening, suitable for surfactant system.

 

Carbopol Ultrez 21: acrylate /C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosslinking copolymer, short denaturation, used for gel, washing and cleaning products, high electrolyte products, cream, emulsion.

 

Carbopol Ultrez 20: acrylate /C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosslinking copolymer, long rheological, shampoo, shower gel, cream / emulsion, electrolyte containing skin care and hair care gel.

 

Pemulen TR-1: acrylate /C10-30 alkyl acrylate cross linked copolymer, thickening emulsifier, short flow denaturation, used in cream, emulsion.

 

Pemulen TR-2: acrylate /C10-30 alkyl acrylate cross linked copolymer, thickening emulsifier, long rheological, used in emulsion.

 

APPLICATION:

 

Emulsifier

 

·At very low concentration - 0.1-0.5% effective, instead of the traditional surfactant dosage of 3-7%

 

·Not limited by HLB and PLT

 

·It can emulsify any liquid oil at room temperature

 

·If the wax is melted in the manufacturing process, it can be emulsified

 

·The stable emulsion can be prepared by making full use of the wetting, dispersing and adhering functions of surfactant

 

·It is easy to prepare waterproof emulsion without film-forming agent

 

·High oil phase can be dissolved into water to form (O / W) emulsion

 

Can be prepared: moisturizing cream, lotion, cleansing products, sunscreen products, alcohol free perfume, flavor conditioner (enhance luster, easy to comb), wash your hands.

 


Agents, low consistency spray emulsion and transparent microemulsion. There are many ways to reduce the difficulty of carbomer in application. One way is to add carbomer into the oil phase system to slow down the swelling rate, which is called indirect method, but it depends on the formula. Carbomer is not very sensitive to the change of adding process.

 

Used in skin care products

 

Hydrophilic thickener, stable emulsifier, suspending agent and gel have good transparency. It is necessary to maintain moderate to weak alkalinity to have consistency. Therefore, it is impossible to coexist with acid active ingredients. In addition, Carbomer is also afraid of salts. Therefore, mineral ions can not be added, otherwise the consistency will disappear and irritation to the eye mucosa. The larger the number (such as carbomer 940) is, the larger the polymer molecule is. Carbopol is the name of the ingredient manufacturer, most of which are numbered Carbomer, but not all of them.
